    VIAIR Quick Connect

I have a VIAIR 450P-RV and am looking to add a quick connect/disconnect wire connected to the battery instead of using the Alligator Clips. I don't want to use the RV solar charge port . The air compressor has a 30amp fuse but was not able to find what size wire is used. I saw this on Amazon and it has 10AWG wire and 30amp fuses.

Has anyone done anything quick connect?

I converted mine to use an Anderson connector. This also allows me to connect directly for jumper cables etc.

Make sure you buy one that has 10-12 ga crimp connectors

I modified a Furion Solar plug to accommodate an Anderson Connector. I used 10 Ga wire connected to the battery. I cut about 16" off the Viair power cord and added a quick connect there also. Also the truck has the same connector. I carry the original alligator clips in the bag that I can connect if someone else wants to use them. Nice having quick access to 12 power when needed.

OK... so I am in the slow group... so please guide this novice in what parts I would need to connect my RV battery to a port, like you have on the front of your unit, and what part I need to hook up to the Viair 45053... I can see how this would be MUCH easier to hook up than opening the hood of my truck.

Also... has anyone done something similar to their tow vehicle so you can easily connect the Viair without using the alligator clips??

    Many thanks!
