Has anyone installed a compact freezer in basement or closet?

I'm thinking about purchasing a small freezer for the basement. I currently have a small refrigerator there now but next year we are going west for most of the summer and i want to take more frozen food with us. I don't have an inverter installed for the small refrigerator because we only keep drinks in there. Just wondering if i need to install an inverter or with the freezer keep the food frozen long enough for the next rv park which is usually 5 to 6 hours. Here is the one i'm thinking of purchasing.

Here is the portable freezer that is more expensive and a little more capacity. I could place this in the closet at the front of the 5th wheel. There is already a 110 plug in for the washer.
