Bringing in your own hitch

It’s interesting how dealers are so different. My dealer would only install a hitch purchased thru them AND charge full labor rates for installing it.

I honestly think it might be better to first shop for a great dealer, and then buy the best trailer they sell that meets your needs and budget.

Same with my dealer. When I picked it up, they didn't even stick around long enough to hitch it up. We all walked of the trailer and they were just gone. Once hooked up I had to find someone to open the gate.

I bought and setup my own hitch after I picked up my trailer. Used a borrowed hitch with no wdh to take it home.

They installed 7 pin and the Anderson connection to the king pin on mine for referee. Metra Rv in Billings Montana.
