303RLS with 80 gallon fresh water tank

I'm shopping for a 5th wheel and the 303RLS is at the top of the list. I noticed that the 303 specs on the Grand Design web site show an 80 gallon fresh water tank. Dealer web sites with a 2021 303RLS show a 60 gallon tank. Has the fresh water capacity recently increased?

GDRV website has footnote #4 that units built before 12/1/2018 had the 52 gallon tanks......I think it s/b 54 gallons + 6 for the water heater thus the 60 total of units prior to the 12/1/2018 date. The "Transcend" notation is interesting.....I never noticed that before.

Suspect dealer site has outdated information.

Hopefully a new 303 owner will chime in or Steve @huntr70 can clarify for us. Thanks, in advance, Steve !

Interesting. I just checked the web page for 2021 Reflection 337RLS and it also says 80 gallons fresh water. I know that a couple of weeks ago the GD web site said 60 gallons for the 337 because I looked it up. I wonder if they are putting larger fresh water tanks in the 303 and 337 or if it is just a marketing thing.

I had a question about my 337 and gray tanks. I called GD and they gave me some drawings. The brochure and the website said 87 gallons. Drawings represented about 78 gallons. The guy told me the brochures were approximate. I used a 5 gallon bucket and got 80 gallons out of it by adding a valve at the end of the dump tubes. So good luck finding out what they really are.

Not sure if the capacity has increased, however, we have had our 303 for 2 1/2 years (2018 model) and fresh water capacity has never been a problem for us. We find all the tank capacities to be more than adequate for dry camping in provincial or state parks. We love our 303RLS. It’s our third fifth wheel (had a Montana and an Alpine, both 38+ feet long) and the Grand Design is by far the best quality RV trailer. If we were buying a new one today, no doubt it would be another 303. Good luck on your search.
