Everyone here has an expert opinion; that's mine.[/QUOTE]

    Yep. Lol
We do the same but blow out the antifreeze for an added protection in case the water mixed with the antifreeze. I also do it because our winter are long and harsh. Just takes a couple more minutes and another reason to open another beer. Lol

    blow out the antifreeze
First year to winterize for us so we're still learning. I blew out w/ air first then pumped antifreeze but then wondered why leave all that antifreeze in the lines all winter? Why not drain it now? Will the residual really dry and stick to the inside of the lines? I did open a faucet enough to relieve the pressure though.

That's how our dealer does it and what they recommend. Blow out antifreeze, while down and leave faucets open.

We're in Minnesota. We are on our third camper over many years. Our first camper was small and I blew it out but didn't use antifreeze. On our last camper and this one it's just antifreeze, we don't blow out. We have never had a problem either.

For those of you who only blow out their lines (i.e., don’t use antifreeze):

    I am assuming you

    1. Drain the water heater and then bypass it,

    2. connect the air compressor to the fresh water inlet connection and blow out everything downstream including low point drains, the external spray connections.

    3. Add some antifreeze in sink p-traps, shower p-trap, and toilet bowl.

    4. Leave faucets and shower valve open. Also the low point drains.

    5. Connect air compressor to black tank flush inlet and blow it out.

That still leaves the water pump, pump suction piping, and some small section of piping downstream of the pump before it connects to the fresh water inlet piping that may have some water in it. Should I worry about this.

We live in South Carolina and don’t typically see really cold weather, maybe a few days in the teens. On very rare occasions, it may get into single digits.

How are you connecting the compressor to the water inlets and at what pressure...?

You'll need one of these and set your compressor pressure to 40psi max. I set mine at 35psi to be safe. Or you risk damaging your plumbing.

This is exactly what I use. I tend to stay around 30 PSI but for sure never go as high as 40 for me anyway.
