New to Grand Design Forum and Travel Trailers

Hello to All,

We have recently purchased a Grand Design Imagine 2600RB to pull behind our RAM 1500. This is our first travel trailer and there has been much to learn. This site has been a great tool for finding the information we have needed.

For 15 years we have traveled in motorhomes and decided it was time to downsize. We established the objectives of the new RV as follows:

1 - Sleeping only for the two of us
2 - Can be towed behind our current truck (After investigating the towing capacity of my truck, I was a bit shocked to find out how little payload was available for a trailer)
3 - Decent size bathroom
4 - Full queen size bed
5 - Two comfortable chairs to read or watch TV in
6 - Small footprint to take up less storage space and be easier to clean and wax
7 - Buy from high ranking manufacture (quality and customer support)

Grand Design rose to the top of the list and after some debate, the 2600RB was determined to be the right fit for our needs. We have made two trips so far to our favorite campgrounds about two hours away and are very pleased with the travel trailer.

I must thank all involved and who provide input to this site. There is a lot of great information here and the feeling you get from reading posts is that of positive, happy people. We will try to provide the same constructive input in the future.

Welcome! That would a a nice TT! When we started looking that was the one we had set on. Had trouble finding one and really fell in love with the larger 2970RL. Enjoy and happy travels!
