    Fireplace Removal

    Hello all,

Can someone tell me how to remove the fireplace? I can't see any screws in the face or surround so I don't know if I just pull it out or what I am looking for.

    Thanks

Noooooo Poppy! Don't go to the dark side!!! Sorry my friend...just couldn't resist. Can I be intrusive and ask why you are removing? Personal preference? Or has it been a problem?

I just need to get behind it. I was told my subwoofer would fit back there so I want to check it out.

It's really easy to take out, Poppy.
Have a vacuum cleaner handy. You will likely find a lot of sawdust and other construction debris back there.

It's also on my list to remove and do a proper cleaning of the heater coil and fan.

I am not 100% sure on how yours looks, but with mine I had a faux brick venire on mine. It had screws in it that I removed first, then they had another 4 screws holding the fireplace in. Couldn't get to those screws until the brick venire was removed first, then the fireplace bezel. Hope this helps a bit.

BTW, screws kind of blend in to the faux brick.

Take the drawer out above the fire place. Then pull up on the black trim piece. You will see the screws that hold it in.
