    Hi Cookinwithdiesel,

I have a question regarding your post. I just installed an Onan 5500 Generator in my 3740BH (that was prepped for it). And now I realize they sure drink a lot of propane. I called GD and asked if I could upgrade my 30# tanks to 40# and they said no. So can you share a model or part number of the 40# tanks you bought as I assume they are working just fine and I'd like to purchase an upgrade?

    Thanks.

I just got a pair of 40# tanks at tractor supply. They are a standard size.

Are you sure the larger tanks would fit? I know they would not in my bay.

    For like 10k miles now

I have to angle them into the opening, but plenty of height for them in the bay

I will take that then as the extra weight and height of the 40# tanks hasn't been an issue which is good to know. Once my existing tanks are empty I'm going to upgrade them.

If it is winter and I expect I may be using the furnace or a lot of generator, I still take the 30# tanks with me as well, in truck bed with a camco cover over them to keep out of direct weather.
