Here’s a nice tire calculator that was linked to on another RV forum. Put in your anticipated size and it will give you several measurements. You can compare it to your OEM size.

What do you have on there now. You will want at least 3" above the tire to the frame and double check width. Clearance between the tires should also not be less then 3" Additional information can be found on etrailer. Also if these tires require higher pressure, double check that your rims can take it

    Presently the unit has 235 x 80 x 16 Westlakes. The see the Gd is using 255 x 85 x 17.5 on the new Momentums so i would think the 255 x 85 x 16 would fit, your thoughts.

Please take a few measurements of your existing current set up. With the trailer lever what is the distance form the top of the tires to the trailer underbelly. What is the current distance between the tires? What is the distance from the existing tire sidewall to trailer frame or closest component. What is the distance from the existing tire to the trailer skirt

With that information folks can help. Tire contact with any component while traveling can be a huge problem. In general you want 3" clearance everywhere. The other thing to check is your existing rim width OK for the 255 series?

As for the new units running 17.5's have you checked what they did to the frame and suspension?

    Hope this helps.
