That is exactly what I did to winterize. Took about 10x cycling it to get the pink stuff. There is a button on the front, bottom of the ice maker to manually cycle it. As someone else pointed out, use a small mirror and you can quickly find it. Once you know where it is, it's easy to find by touch.
