Just buy the one ton so you’re under sticker weight. Overtaxed loves to discard this information even though lawyers advertise services on their websites “if you’ve been injured in an accident with an overloaded RV” “Our experts will investigate and get you the money you deserve”.

My friend has a Ram 2500 mega cab with the Cummins. Yellow sticker payload is something like 1560lbs. The one ton costs like $600 more.

We are on a trip from the Pittsburgh area to southern West Virginia. If you’ve been to WV, you know that there isn’t a single flat spot in the entire state (or at least it seems that way). The trip down was 222 miles, and we averaged 11.5 MPG. We took a leaf-peeping drive today, around 200 miles, and averaged 20.1 MPG. Elevation changed from under 2000 feet to over 4300 and back again. Not too bad for a one-ton diesel. You can see the rest in my signature info...

My new 2020 F350 3.31 and 10 speed is getting 19.5 to nearly 21 mpg running empty and at 70-75 mph. Towing my 29rs I am getting 10.5 to 11 mpg and that's running at 70-75 mph. My '16 got about 1.5 mpg less towing and 2mpg less empty.

    Well pleased........
