Camping in Peoria, AZ for Spring Training

Hi All, I was hoping someone might have a recommendation for a place in or near Peoria, AZ for Spring Training. I only plan to stay maybe 2 nights and catch a game in between. We will be coming from Tucson and heading home to San Diego so I figured it would be a great opportunity to catch a spring training game.

I did some checking online but most of what I saw was mobile home parks or long term only resorts. I figured there have to be some forum members who have been in this area before.

    Thanks for any recommendations.

Poppy why Peoria? The real team to watch plays at Tempe Diablo Stadium. I wish I could help. We've only stayed in hotels there. But if you want to know where to get the best Margarita you've ever had, hit me up.

Poppy. We just got back this morning from staying in that area. We stayed at Lake Pleasant which is a Maricopa County park. $30 per night, with 50A electric, water, fire pit and covered ramada. They have nice bathrooms and showers too. They don't have dumps at the sites. But they do have a dump station. But for two nights, that shouldn't be a problem. We really enjoyed our stay there and the views of the lake. Here's a link to make a reservation.

We'll stay there again if we head back that way.

Dang Jim, that looks nice. I was hoping you'd respond. I'll have to bookmark that area. I ended up at Metro Phoenix RV Park because it's just for 2 nights sleeping.

These 2 nights will have us out for just over 2 weeks on this trip. 3 nights in Death Valley, 3 nights in Zion, 3 nights Lake Powell, 4 nights in Tucson and 2 nights in Phoenix. We can't wait!

Poppy; would you stay here for a month? We're looking for someplace around Phoenix for mid March - mid April.
Any others with recomendations for the area are welcome.
    Thanks, TomF

I guess I "would" if I had to but it's not really someplace I would want to stay for any extended period by choice. It is foremost a trailer park and holds some spots available for RVs. Nothing nice about it. All gravel with nothing between the sites.

Look at Leaf Verde in Buckeye. Easy to get to Peoria and they have a row of "overnight" pull-thrus.
