    Heater not coming on

Had an external propane valve fail and need to be replaced. After that, the heater doesn’t come on. Air does. Thoughts?

    Welcome to the forum.

You don't say which trailer you have, which is important to helping you. Here are some guesses:

First step is to ensure that gas is flowing. Can you light the propane stove? Especially if it's on the same side as your furnace you can often use the stove to bleed air out of the lines and ensure that propane is filling them.

Have the propane tanks been SLOWLY turned on? Turning them on too quickly can activate a safety valve in the tank that restricts flow from it. If you're not sure, turn tanks off for 10 minutes or so and then slowly turn each on. If you hear a 'click' as you're opening them then you may have opened too fast.

Do you have both tanks filled or only one? Is the auto-turnover regulator pointing to the correct tank? Is it showing green?

Will the water heater run on gas?

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the reply.

I noticed the stove wouldn’t light, the heater, fridge and water heater all worked. After replacing the defective valve on the external propane line everything worked but the heater. Took the screws out of the outside cover and pulled it out a couple of inches and it came on. Worked a couple of days and quit. Started to pull the cover off again and it came back on. Acted like it wasn’t getting enough air. Checked everything I could see and don’t see any blockage. The trailer is a 2018 Grand Design 384 GK.
