    Traveling with residential refrigerator

After driving a couple of hours I stop for a break and always check the refrigerator. It’s always off but I can reset it with the green inverter button. After the reset it always comes back on and the temperature indicates 50-52 degrees.
I have two batteries and they both check good
Any ideas. I hate warm beer!

What model and year is your RV? Which refrigerator do you have? Do you have a 1,000 or 2,000 watt inverter? Are your batteries lead/acid or something else? Do you have solar? Is the GFCI on the inverter tripping?

Does your frig work ok once you plug in with shore power?
If so it sounds like your inventor is bad.

If batteries were to weak the inventor will auto shut down but that would also turn off green light which you indicate is still lite.

Next time make sure the refrigerator is running before you leave, if when you stop, and you check it, and the green light is on but the refrigerator is not, you have an issue with the inverter, or the wiring. I assume it never did this before?

    I agree with Redapple.
I'm guessing the inverter in behind the wall in the pass-thru. That's where our inverter for the refrigerator is located. Our inverter was bad when we took delivery of our 2018 374TH-R. The inverter is very easy to diagnosis if you know how to use a volt meter (which is something all RV owners should know how to do). KEN

Yellow LED - indicates battery back up status.
Green LED - indicates AC input status.
Red LED - indicates inverter failure.
Note: Inverter will not operate on AC input only. A battery must be
connected to the inverter for inverter to operate.
LCD Display - indicates operation status.

Thanks for the replies. I always check the refrigerator after the truck is hooked up and running to make sure it’s on. It always is. I’ve traveled a lot the last couple of weeks and probably 75% of the time the refrigerator was off when I stopped and the green light was on every time. The crazy thing is today after traveling over 300 miles the refrigerator always stayed on! Go figure. I even turned the truck off and after a short break it was still on. So bottom line I think your right. It must be the inverter or a a loose wire or plug
    Thanks again
    Tim
