Great deal on a new unit; PI's warranty is fantastic as well.

What kind of converter are you all using? I have mine plugged into my pedestal at home but thought I had to use the 50amp side so I just got a 50 to 30 amp pigtail so I could use my 30amp cord. I would be interested in the way to plug it in my 30amp side though.

I was going to plug my cord to the unit, and use a 50 to 30 adapter to plug in with.

That will work. I use mine that way. The only issue I have, on occasion, is when I encounter a worn out 30A socket. The weight of the PI unit plus the adapter pulls it out. In that case, I use a security cable to tether it to the pedestal.

Bought the same one. All the cover screws were missing from mine. I called to have them send me the 4 screws, but I had to fill out a “Warranty claim” online before they would send the screws.

I had bought a SSP-50XL online through Walmart.com and it arrived missing the 4 screws as well. I tried to contact the online seller unsuccessfully. I returned it to Walmart and ordered a new one. Hoped the new one came with the screews. The screw dropper inner must have missed a couple days of work.

Good deal! It's the same one I have for my 2016 376TH. Actually, I bought the same one again after I left the first one on the ground after an overnight stay at an RV park in the fall of 2018 (on my way home for the winter). RV park claimed they would keep it until we came through on the way north the next spring, but come next spring, it was nowhere to be found. PLEASE don't make the same mistake!

My screws were inside the unit in a plastic bag for both or them that I bought.

I went to Ace hardware and bought a #6 ×1/2 screw. The head is a bit big and doesn't fit inside the recess, but holds the cover tight, and can flip open and closed with no problems.
What 4 screws are you all missing ?
Mine just has 2. 1 on either side of the cover hinge.

Mine has 4 screws that attach the cover to the unit. When I called the company, they couldn’t even tell me what size the screws are so I could purchase them. It appears to me that they are “self threading” screws.
