    Adhesive for Awning Bar?

Just took out our new 2800BH on its first trip and on the way back, I saw one of my awning arm bar was de-attached at the bottom with the adhesive/glue at the bottom coming undone at the side of the trailer. Does anyone know the product used to originally bond this piece to the trailer or if not, have recommendations on an adhesive solution to reinforce this better?

Strange there not screws there. I would call GD customer service and your dealer. The material is butyl mastic, but its not a glue as it stays soft and pliable and is used as a sealant. When open are there screw holes in the arm?

That is terribly frustrating. I would think there should be screws. Take it to your dealer for warranty repair and make sure it's done right!

yes, verified the other side has 4 self tapping screws holding down the bottom part of the awning, but they completely missed doing this on one side so i will either add myself or have the dealer add it back on a future trip.

I would not travel with it loose. Doing so may pull the top screws out.
