    Outdoor kitchen burner

Does anyone have any issues with the outside cooktop not heating. We bought a 2019 reflection 285bhts and can not get the outdoor burner to even boil water. Our dealer installed a new one but no difference. Now they say it is what it is basically and call grand design. After 20m with one cup of water with a lid on large burner can not even boil😖

If you've got a good looking flame, it could be that it's just a low BTU stove. Did the dealer confirm the propane line pressure at the stove to be sure it is within specification? Do know a very classic complaint is the poor performance of low pressure cooktops when outside the calm, temperate conditions of the inside of the camper.

I asked them if they could check line pressure when they come out to do another repair. The flame did seem weak, seamed to dance around with practically no wind. I would figure it should be able to heat. I couldn’t even cook an egg on it the one time I tried to use it.

Pressure check is ideal, and asking what BTU rating is. If less than 6,000, it's pretty weak. I'm not particularly familiar with what GD used, but definitely remember my last camper brand had a 2 burner that was rated 3,000 and 5,000 BTU for the small and large burner, respectively. Most everyone tossed them and put a BlackStone griddle in its place with a little modification of the kitchenette.

    LOL! 2 burner here...

Do post back what you find out to help others. Seeing a lot of folks picking up gently used GDs.
