    Dimmer switches

Looking to replace our wall switches in Reflection 297RSTS 2021 in bedroom, dining area and over rear couch with dimmer switches. Has anybody ever done this yet? TIA

I saw "Dinner switches" in your title and thought, "Now wouldn't THAT be convenient!"

LOADS of people have installed dimmers, here are some threads to get you started.

    https://www.mygrandrv.com/forum/show...-Dimmer-Switch

Before asking a question here, where so many questions are already well-answered, it's best to use the search options at upper right.

Better still in my experience is to use Google. Enter your search terms in the usual way, and after the last word in your search type in "site:mygrandrv.com" (without the quotes). Google will search only this site to find what you've searched for.

    For example:

    "dimmer switch" site:mygrandrv.com

which is how I found the three threads above.

    Good luck.

If you are talking about the wall switch that is a 'rocker switch' style here are a couple possibilities. I am going to be using the first one with the larger slide to control my main cabin lights. Disconnecting wires from the blue light and run them down to this switch which I will mount near the thermostat.

I fixed the typo in the subject line. As soon as I saw that I figured it was a typo, although I had to check - my body has one of those "dinner switches" - so ya never know..... hahah

And, thanks to whoever it was above for listing one of my posts on dimmers. I used one of these for my main ceiling lights in the living area and replaced the dimmer I had originally put in the bedroom with the same thing (I'm pretty sure I didn't pay that price on Amazon tho). I find there is nothing like just having to flick a switch for lighting; unless, of course, I have "Alexa" with me but she normally stays home.

Hi Larry, we have a Solitude 310GK and i am trying to install the dimmer switch from American Technologies. When i connect the switch the light is very low and only dims a little. I have a repair man looking at it also and he is getting same results. We used a voltmeter to establish the right polarity and are getting 12.8 volts. Do you remember how you wired it? Any suggestions? We are baffled? Thanks.

Lignts turned down, playing some smooth jazz on a Bluetooth speaker, a candle burning on the dining table during dinner... glamping at its finest.

Just replaced my main living area and kitchen / entry with the double version of this switch, and bedroom with single. These match the factory installed switches controlling the LEDs in the front entertainment area. Love the touch operation.

    Cool

I installed one of these in the bedroom so I can dim the lights or even turn them off without getting out of bed.

I am planning to do the same but a little confused on the wiring...

I think that this is the correct wiring for the Facon dimmer?

    Questions for you:

I have the same rig as you (2021 380FL-R),

was the wiring the same to your switches?

Did you need to add a ground wire to connect to the negative IN?

    Thanks

PS...Wiring instructions that came with Dimmer
How to replace a normal 2-wire switch with Facon standard 4-wires dimmer swich
    1. Connect black wire with "IN+" mark from the dimmer to the power supply circuit.
    2. Connect black wire with *OUT+* mark from the dimmer to your LED lamps.
    3. IF you find the negative wire in wall,
THEN cut off the negative wire:
Connect white wire with IN mark from the dimmer to the negative wire of the supply circuit
Connect white wire with OUT- mark from the dimmer to the negative wire of LED lamps
ELSE (If you can't find any negative wire in the wall) connect the white wire(negative(-) wires to the metal frame on your RV / Camper / Trailer.
