I can't claim credit for this engineering on the new-to-us Fifth Wheel. Big thumbs-up to Johnny and Brenda for making these mods which we now get to enjoy. The unit slides out on a system in a fixed track mounted in the basement. Fold-down and expanding leg on the outside keep it stable and level, regardless of the territory. Water is supplied by tapping into the original washer hookups and an extra tap on the starboard prop tank gives fire to the burners. The yellow hook on the wall in back of the lines and the little bucket keep those hoses out of the way when stowed. There's even a paper-towel holder conveniently mounted to the front.

What I particularly like is that the unit is very sturdy and at a great height to serve as a lounging spot for friends who stop by to kibitz.

Meeting the couple who sold us this unit was a GREAT introduction to the Grand Design community.

(TITLE IS WRONG ... it should say Reflection 337RLS)

Always neat to see some DIY creativity!

Looks like the legs were made from adjustable paint roller extension pole and some plumbing fittings.

Using a crank-down trailer A-frame jack as the leg is another way to go (ask me how I know ).

Good observation. I looked at the pic again and can now clearly see it.

LOL! I'm fabricating something similar for a member here. It's his investment if he wishes to share pictures, but I am fabricating it all out of aluminum sheet for him - flush welded sink, hold-downs for a dorm cube fridge, and then a spot that fits his BlackStone. Has a turned up 12" tall splash/splatter/wind guard along the rear and one end, which is where I've also done a handle to pull it out along with a paddle latch to keep it in. Finally found the marine drain I need to make everything able to remain connected and just slide in/slide out so I can now make the sink.

I wanted to mount it cleanly on extra long, HD drawer slides, but he couldn't stomach the huge hit in the camping beer budget for those. So it's going to glide along hardwood rails and I'm mounting the A-frame jack at the end to prop it. It'll swing up and lock in place under the BlackStone for stowing.
