    Dauber Screens.

I've never had an issue with critters getting in my refer back or heater exhaust, but I recently saw a YouTube video of a guy that has and installed Tauber Screens. Seems a good idea but, I also heard of others that say the refer (as example) could operate better without even the stock cover in order to enhance airflow. Wouldn't dauber Screens result in restricted airflow? What say you?

Depends, on my 2118 Nevercold, I used them for the first year & struggled to keep temps in check. Second summer I took them off & the fridge was much cooler. They now sit on a shelf in the garage. Smaller fridges may not be affected as much. I do put them on the furnace during the summer season tho.

I have them on the hot water tank vent, heater vent, and the refrigerator vents. I have not had any issues with any of them.

If using those screens just remember if you have a problem with your fridge and the manufacturer finds out it will void your warranty.

At a Grand Design rally one of the talks was given by a refrigerator rep (I don’t recall which company) but the topic of screens came up. The rep said the screen will effect the cooling capability of the refrigerator. He went on to say in some cases it could void the warrant. He suggested putting a flea collar is the back of the unit when in storage. I would suggest you contact your refrigerator manufacturer rather than getting opinions.

Old fashion moth balls work too if you can find them. I use a small draw string sack and hang it inside the fridge vent and in the opening of the furnace - just remember to remove for use. I also tape over the hole where the locking clasp comes through. The wasped loved it until I did that
