Dometic sm 1350 mods, fans etc

I have done about all the fan mods I can on this fridge in my reflection 303 rls 12 cu. Taped and insulated very top compartment in the slide. ARP fridge defender with fan control. 1 larger fan at bottom vent to pull air up, two small fans at top vent to expel hot air. Two small fans inside fridge directed toward fins. Starting in the morning here in Southern Arizona at 38* 2:30 pm and it is up to 42* currently 86* outside. Slide is on shaded side of rv. Yesterday it got to 47* in the fridge. Don't know if more fans inside would help. Saw somewhere here a cage fan set up on the inside cooling fins. Looked like 3 or 4 fans? Wondering if that much fan power helps considerably?

I know on mine i get a false close with the crappy latches. I have to give it a second push to get to the second click on the fridge. How are the freezer temps?

Freezer is fine. Yes, have to pay close attention to make sure the doors close properly.

Have you checked to see if the fridge light is going out when you close the door. That was my problem. Found it my accident. The doors were to low to close the switch on both doors. raise them from the bottom.

I put a 5 fan unit on the fins inside my fridge and it works great. Ran the unit this summer at home in Las Vegas. Inside temps in the trailer was about 110 and the fridge ran in the upper 30's. No open and closing and refer side of rig was in shade. The three times we used it this year with outdoor temps in the 90's to 100's it stayed the same. Opening the fridge does warm it up but it does cool back down. It was a good $100 add.

Yes, thanks. Replaced fridge light with led to illuminate cooler. Daytime Temps are the real killer. Have a cooling spell here in southern Arizona. 65* - 72* fridge is at 33* now and rises to around 36 - 38* during the day. This cooling system just can't handle higher heat days in upper 80's to 90's.
