I have an older Dewalt cordless drill that is quiet but heavy for the wife to use and the clutch isn't user friendly and if not adjusted right with twist your wrist off. With the Black Friday sales coming up I plan on buying a new cordless drill and welcome suggestions on cordless drills that others use and are quiet and light.

Also, any suggestions on RV items to buy on Black Friday. I plan on looking for a socket set to add to my traveling tools and a small ladder.
I use the Dewalt 18v system. I purchased a Dewalt DCD708 for our TT. It has a short body and is pretty light. Light enough that my DW has no problem using it.

I like the Milwaukee M12 but Bosch also has a small 12v system that I like as well. You really don’t need much of a drill at all for the stabilizers.

You first state 1/2 " impact, then a drill. The impact would be loud versus a drill.

The problem I'm facing with my two 18V Dewalt drills are the batteries failing. I had accumulated about 10 of them and now only four will charge. Those four whether in use or sitting idle will not hold a charge for long. Dewalt has moved on to a non compatible 20 volt system. OEM replacements are as much as or more than a new drill and off brand knock-offs are a crap shoot. It's time to consider new options.

I've been packing our Davy Crockett GMG for 4 years. It fits in the rear pass-thru of our 374TH-R Solitude nicely.

The Milwaukee M12 is on sale at Home Depot NOW. $99.50. I just got one for work to replace the best Hitachi 10.8 driver. It lasted 4 years of daily use.

    YES

It's a bit heavier then my Hitachi 10.8. I can't tell yet, if it more powerful: but I think so. It is not as balanced in the hand, but hopefully I will get used to it. KEN

My local Interstate battery store has replacement batteries for my 18v Makita stuff. They seem to be just as good as the original stuff but 50 bucks a battery instead of 100. So far they are working just as well as the factory replacements. Don't know if they do DeWalt stuff but I'm happy at the price for the Makita replacements. Got my kit in 2007 and the original batts lasted about 6 years. The Interstates are still going along with a couple Makita replacements I got on sale. Just glad I can still buy em...
