Considering buying a solitude 379fl 2015
Hello. Any advice on problems to look for or what to expect from an older model. We just sold our 2018 Imagine 2800BH and are thinking to purchase but are a bit apprehensive because we will be 3rd owner with no support from GD. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My advice is to have a proper inspection done by an RV professional. That said...our 2015 379fl has been largely trouble free in 26,000+ miles of travel.
Safe Travels.

We've only had our 379FL for a year. Cable/satellite/antenna prewiring is a crapshoot. No support from GD. Generic schematic in manual not even close. Original dealer just laughed & said it depends whether Tom, Dick, or Harry did the wiring on build day.
Otherwise, nice layout. Still undecided.

Pay your due diligence an take a pdi list with you. Go over everything carefully to find any issues that may be hiding.
Our 14 has held up just fine with lots of use, so if the trailer checks out on why not?Last edited by WhittleBurner; 09-23-2022 at 05:29 AM.

The good news is that most everything can be fixed. Some of the big ticket items to look over would be the roof, evidence of water damage, does the fridge work, suspension/axles/brakes/hubs, even tire wear, slides and slide seals, furnace, A/C, holding tanks and valves, and water heater.

I would second the recommendation to find a certified RV technician or inspector and pay to have every inch of the unit gone over. A good inspector knows where to look for hidden water incursion and things that even a knowledgeable/experienced RVer may not. It would be cheap insurance and money well spent.
