    Rm 1350 wire thru drain

Trying to install cooling fans on Rm1350. Been trying to run wires down drain tube but can’t get all the way thru. Anyone have issues. Tried different size wire to try and fish but only goes so far. Any help would be helpful.

Double check the cap is not in the end of the drain hose. You could also use some type of wire lube to help it get through. It might help to even shoot a little water through it.

What kind of wire are you trying to use? Home Depot carries plastic coated baling/tie wire. Its very slick and stiff enough to get just about anywhere.

the other trick is use strong thread with a little ball on the end and use a shop vack on the other end.

I put a peace of paper on thread and tried the shop vac. Pulled about 15’ of thread but would never come out end of pipe. So tried up top same thing would never come thru. But if you keep feeding it would keep pulling thread. Kinda weird

Are you trying to run a set of wires to power and internal fan? If so give the manufacturer a call. They may have another way to get there. You may be able to drilled a small hole in the back if you get information there is nothing in the way.
