We've tried the crayon-like sticks, but don't seem to work.

    Thx,

Spots like that can wear from rubbing against the door as going from one side of bed to the other. That side nothing touches when snapped in the stowed position during travel... Whos butt is at the height of the wear points?

Marcy - your post made me realize that the door John posted is the sliding door between the bedroom and bathroom. I thought it was the swinging door between the bedroom and hallway.......my bad !

Now I am wondering what caused the issue with John's door as nothing touches that area...."butt", it must be something !

You guys are too funny, it is the swinging door between the bedroom & hallway.
You wouldn't think those scratches would be there as we lock that door back while we on the road

Must not have had enough coffee, I swear the wall looked curved to me this morning. We also keep ours open during travel, actually the only time its closed is when we want to keep the dogs off the bed. We have a few small spots but not as many as what you showed. Still think its from rubbing as going by though

For dings in my cherry kitchen cabinets I just dab a bit of stain on the corner of a rag and rub it on the exposed wood. It will soak into the exposed wood but rub right off the finished surface. Judging from the photo, maybe try an oak or English walnut stain. One with a satin or semi gloss poly might help it blend with the finished surface. I've tried the pen products and have never been satisfied with the result.

We also use the Minwax touch up pen. Like a felt marker but good colour match. Rub it gently after application.
