Drains in around 5 to 10 minutes and no worries about stinky water for the next trip. Word of caution: Be sure to fill the hot water tank before turning on the heat or the element will burn out.

    Works for us!

What's the easiest source for a nylon nipple? Is nylon the material that the plug is made of?

Frustratingly the easiest source was Amazon - in a 5-pack! They were/are $7.45US with free shipping with Prime. And yes, the original plug is nylon. You do NOT want to use metal as dissimilar metals will cause corrosion and a ruined water heater.
