    We tow our 310GK with a 2018 RAM 3500 (Aisin) CCSRW, I’m leary of the OEM Firestones HT on it but I’m going to go with Cooper AT3 XLT’s.. Truck handles excellent!!

    We tow our 310GK with a 2020 Silverado 3500 SRW. Truck payload is 4020 lbs and that leaves plenty for the small amount of gear in the truck, the dogs and two adults.

    Just be sure the payload on a SRW can take the 3000 pound tongue weight. If it can then you are good to go.

    Hello. We are towing a 2020 Solitude 310GK with a 2019 GMC Denali 3500, 4wd, crew cab, standard box. The payload on our truck is 3499 pounds. I have not weighed us at CAT scales to know our traveling tongue weight. I am comfortable we have truck enough, I don’t think it’s any too much truck. I am considering moving to a 3500 DRW so I am certain we have more truck than we need.

    I have a 2019 310GK, and towing with a 2018 RAM 3500 SRW with no problems.

    Howdy. One option you may not have considered is a dually conversion for your truck. You didn't mention the year, but on my 2006 F250 Super Duty the rear axle is identical to the F350 SRW axle. I pulled our 2016 Solitude 379FL (14K+) with our 250 for about 2 years. Doing the math it was obvious that the truck's rear tires were maxed out weight-wise. I dreaded a blowout going through the mountains and there was more sway in the back of the truck than I was comfortable with.

    Researching options I found ArrowCraft Products. I installed their Dually wheel kit (which adds parts to all four wheels so all of the wheels match) in about 3 hours. It took two trips to the tire store to swap out tires, and 3 days in a body shop to install the dually fenders (ArrowCraft can suggest suppliers). Between a 2006 F250 and F350 the towing capacity for a 5th wheel is only a few hundred pounds different, with the F350 DRW able take 1000# more bed/pin weight because of the dually's and the heavier axle, but all other capacities are very close. The Dually kit does NOT add any extra carrying capacity to the truck, but it does spread the load over four tires.

    ArrowCraft is in Michigan north of Detroit: https://arrowcraftproducts.com. Total including four new (narrower) tires, 7 rims, two aftermarket fiberglass fenders w/hardware kit and installation/paint, about $4200. There is NO MORE SWAY and my rear tires are at half capacity while towing. This was for us much less $$ than buying a 350... Just an option.

    I have a 2006 F-350.

    Curious though, does the kit come with the Dana axle that comes with the DRW version?

    The weight police will tell you that you are still "illegal", because the precious yellow sticker doesn't change.

    Nice option though. Interesting.

    When shopping and estimating, I use the GVWR of the trailer, and then 20-25% of that weight as estimated pin weight. If I am within those values, it becomes a potential purchase.

    You may or may not load up to the GVWR, but if you CAN, without the pin weight (and other cargo/people/hitch) then at least you don't have to worry about the extra hamburger you pick up at the drive-in.

    Don't forget - the pin weight quoted in the spec sheet is unloaded. Pin weight will increase as you add "stuff" to your 5er.

    2017 GMC 3500HD
    2018 Solitude 310GK, B&W Turnover Ball w/Companion, Disc brakes, SRE 4000, no w/d or gen
    Drives like a dream, stops on a dime, sits level with 6.5" clearance bed rails, 10mpg average

    GMC with full fuel, driver only, B&W hitch installed:
    Front Axle 4700
    Rear Axle 3400
    Gross Weight 8100

    With 310GK attached, no water, empty waste tanks, full propane tanks, battery, normal supplies for a 5-7 day trip and full TV fuel:
    Front Axle 4920
    Rear Axle 6180
    Total Truck 11,100
    GVWR 11500 (-400)
    Trailer Axle 11080
    Total RV 14,080 (-920)
    Gross Combined Weight 22,180 (-2,920)

    We tow ours with a 3500 SRW LB Dmax, goosebox, airbags. We've had it all over the US and Canada with no problems at all, prolly close to 20,000 towed miles now. Im at or slightly over my limits on the CAT scales depending on fuel load. I will absolutely agree a DRW will be a better, safer tow, but Im comfortable with my rig and would not switch if offered a chance. The Dually is just too much hassle (for me). Dont wanna drive one.
    Keep good tires on it, don't try to get the last 10,000 miles out of them, inspect often and closely, keep the speed down, IMO you’ll be fine.
