    new to forum

First post, but have been reading for some time. Purchased a GD 29RS 2021 a month ago and took it out to Custer State Park for some dry camping, already winterized it, and the park had the showers and bathrooms still open so it was a great 3 day trip except for the BED, Man o man that thing was Hard. Anyway I slep in on of the two recliners for two nights. New bed coming this spring. My wife found the smoke alarms work after tryin got cook the first meal We put the trailer in a indoor storage unit for now. I go in for a complete knee replacement next month so when spring arrives we will be hitting the road for week long trap shooting events and fishing trips with family and friends. Great site to learn about rving.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new 29RS.
We have enjoyed our 29RS for three years.
Yes, the bed is too hard.
We added a 2 inch memory foam topper to our's right away, and it has been great ever since.
Also, when cooking on the stove top, we always open the slider window a few inches before lifting the cover glass,
and turn the ceiling vent on a low setting to exhaust the fumes.
    Work quite well.

Welcome to the forum! Many use the memory foam mattress pad band aid, we even tried it for a few months and it did not work long. No mattress pad hides the brick . If you use your trailer often I'd skip to the next step and buy yourself a regular house mattress of your choice and you will sleep great.
