Sumo Springs has a new heaver set out
Sumo springs has a new unit out for heavier axle trailers
https://www.supersprings.com/shop/tss-107-47/
These are rated at 1000 lbs verses the 500 lbs for those that most folks have used.

I have 4400 lb Dexter axles on my trailer.
I primarily am looking that theses would be a soft bumper stop to prevent tire contact with the trailer. With my 16" upgrade I will be right 3" from tire to floor. I currently have 3.5" to 4"
I have read the good reports on the blue model TSS 107-40 and understand they reduce trailer rocking when stationary and soften the ride during travel (less lean and rocking). From looking at the installation on the spring perch they should not increase the stress on the trailer suspension or trailer frame.
Thoughts?
Thanks for any help.2018 Reflection 150 Series 220RK 5th wheel with 6K axle upgrade. B&W 25K OEM Companion, Steadyfast system, 2022 F350 SRW 6.7 King Ranch 8' bed, Trailer reverse lights, rear spare tire holder, storage tube, sumo springs, Victron MultiPlus 12/120/3000, and Solar

I have them on my truck and they seem to help there. It definitely reduces the squat.

I have 4400# axles as well, I put a set of the 107-40 (blue) on my 260RD. I found a big difference in ride quality controlling the bounciness. Going around curves like highway on / off ramps is a much better experience. I didn't think about it before but the trailer is more stable moving around inside when set up at a site.

My 107-40 sets will arrive soon, so looking for good weather to install.
On a related note, anyone hear loud popping noises from the suspension during slow maneuvering?
I did recently and will also inspect the MorRyde3000 hardware and springs while down there...Dan and Rita

So folks know I am doing an install write up at the other place. I ordered the 107-47 units. Also before you order measure from the top of the spring perch to your frame. If you have more that 6.5 inches you will need additional spacers and longer bolts. I ran into this issue and https://www.supersprings.com/ took care of me. They also have 20% off right now.

Good Question - There are several reasons and I did talk with Supersprings before ordering.
Being an Engineer (civil) I like a safety margin and yes I over do it sometimes. I do have the 4400lb axles as you suspected.
The 107-40 series are rated up to 5000. the 107-47 start at 5000 and go to 8500. I figured first I am roughly at the upped limit for the 107-40.
Second and primary reason is I am upgrading to 16" wheels and tires to have a better selection of tires and trying to bullet proof the failure aspect as I am planning a trip to Alaska. I am also trying to lift the trailer a bit to fit a new future truck. As I will only have about 3" clearance above my tires (currently I have 4 to 4.5") to the trailer belly, I need a bump stop to prevent contact. The softer 107-40 may have allowed that to happen. The 107-47 should prevent any contact.
Now if I made a mistake here and find out later I am too stiff. I can always get the 40 series cushions. The same is true for folks with the 40 series that if they are too soft they can upgrade to the 47 cushions. Supersprings will sell just the parts and you wont need to get a whole kit.

powerscol,
Nice find on those spring helpers. I think they are very interesting. I also think they could help a heavier RV. But I still would not want to overload the RV itself. For the record, I just bought a new Outdoors RV 26kvs.
31.3 foot long, 7700lbs empty, 10,000 lbs fully loaded, 5200lb axels, more ride suspension kyb off road gas shocks. Picked it up last Saturday over in Poncha Spgs & pulled it back over Wolf. And it pulled like a dream.
That being said it carries 80lbs of water & 10 more in the water heater. That is some serious weight. These spring helpers might be exactly what I am looking for. Because 90% of the time I'm pulling up the forest service roads & they are rough & washboarded. I'll see after my 1st trip next spring. By the way this RV has 170 watt solar panel on the roof ,4 stage converter charger so I went with 4 6volt AGM batteries. And solar is definately going to be fun to play with. Like you I'm trying to find a new Ford F350 Godzilla V8 430 gears. But as you probably know there is nothing at the Ford Dealers right now. If one shows up its always a diesel.
Good Luck & keep on RV'n
