    Thanks,

I have been researching using Michelin RIB tires on my Imagine 2970RL. Biggest hurdle is 15-inch tires. 15-inch LT tires do not have the sidewall stiffness of 16-inch LT tires as they are more designed for SUV's and not pickup trucks. Going to a 16-inch tire on an Imagine could be problematic for clearance between the tire and the bottom of the rig. I decided it wasn't worth the effort and I'm going with the Endurance tire this spring. I got 18-months of use out of my Westlakes, but I'm not taking any chances next camping season.

The other problem with the Michelin RIB is it is only rated for 75 MPH

That is a corporate CYA. The Rib is good for around 90+ something. Michelin just doesn't want anyone towing a trailer that fast. Hence the limitation for trailer use.

Well I hate running anything at it maximum rating. The engineer in me says roughly 80%to 90% is good enough and industry seems to follow that, Tractors PTO speed is roughly 80%to 90% of rated tractor max RPM. I tend to drive with traffic and on many interstates that is 75 MPH. My truck (dually) and trailer do very well at that speed. My westlakes are rated for 75 MPH and I will be going with the GY Endurance - rated 87MPH. Gives me that safety factor.

    Just my 02 here
