Black water rinse question

Such a great feature for keeping tank clean. Always surprised at how effective this is.

So I run a dedicated hose for this job. I had been thinking that more pressure is a good thing. But started getting worried that if campground pressure is too high I could damage mechanism in the tank.

So do I need a dedicated pressure regulator for this job as well?

I've never used a pressure regulator on the black tank rinse.

I have always used a secondary hose and it's only used for black water rinsing. I bought the one camco makes for black water use. It's orange in color so you don't get it mixed up with your drinking hose.
I never used a regulator while rinsing on any of the GD's I have owned and never had a problem. Great question though. I'm interested in hearing if others have ever had issues.

GD uses a fixed rinse sprayer meaning no rotating parts. The limitation for pressure really is you swivel connection in the wet bay and crimps on the plumbing connections from there to the tank rinser. I have encountered many campgrounds delivering 80psi and more at the spigot on full.

Might note that running pressure on an open system will be somewhat lower that static pressure. I've had no issues with the flush system in five years of ownership.

I've never used a regulator on the black tank spray for any camper I've ever owned. For the most part it's an open ended system with minimal pressure buildup, it's not the same as having city water pressurized with all your faucets shut.

The plumbing to that fixture is no different than anywhere else in your coach.

If your good with not running a regulator on the coach, then don't worry about the tank rinse.

Otherwise, nothing is any different.

Yes definitely use a regulator. The package at the rv store for the none rotating sprayer says no more than 50psi.

If you read the post above by @geotex1, you'll see that GD uses a fixed sprayer - not a rotating one. Pressure is not an issue.
