Gen2 Goosebox blow-off valve emergency fix instructions
Gen2 Goosebox owners, we experienced failure of the air bag pressure blow-off valve such that trying to add air to the bag it was directly exhausted. Horizon Global had no workaround, argued it was not possible, and could only send a replacement. Unfortunately, not helpful when you need to get underway with your rig! Circumstances needed a fast repair versus drilling and tapping in a plug... I removed the valve block screws so it would hang by the hose, wrapped a piece of Gorilla Tape over the blow off port, and then cinched a C-clamp over the port. That allowed me to finally get air into the bag and get on our way. Horizon said it's the first they ever heard of this, and my block will be going to them to dissect. Just in case any other owners finds themselves here. A little over 11K on our Goosebox.
