Question What will my solar panel power?

I just purchased a 2021 Grand Design Transcend XPLOR 247BH. Will all the restrictions I wasn't given a proper walk through and am left with a lot of questions. One being, what will the solar panel power? I'm assuming not much.

It charges your battery, which runs your refrigerator.

It also runs your slide out, your furnace motor, lights, tongue jack, awning, etc...anything that is 12 volt.

To expand on what @huntr70 said: what you can run and for how long depends on how many amp hours of battery capacity you have. The furnace blower can deplete a single lead-acid battery on a cold night when it runs frequently. (Lead-acid batteries can only be drawn down so far before they're toast and won't take a charge any more.) When your batteries need recharging, the output of the solar panel will determine how long that will take. The output of the panel is dependent on its capacity and how much sun it gets - less in the winter with lower angles, less in a wooded area, and obviously - none at night. Our Solitude manual contains a table showing the amperage drawn by various AC and DC appliances - your manual may have a similar table.

Hey there, we just purchased the same model this last week and didn't even know it had a solar panel up there till we got home! We got a walk through and it was never mentioned- pretty cool! Anyhoo, I am going to look into this and maybe provide some more info. My goal is to try to turn everything else that uses 12v battery off so I can only power a GPS tracker that also has a battery as a security device.
