    Norcold 2118 No AC Intermittent

We just took the first long trip with our Solitude 375RES and had strange performance with our Norcold 2118. Prior to leaving, no issue with refrigerator.

The first night out, it flashed No AC FL, but we were plugged in and we had AC power inside. Switched to propane and could hear the flame start up and then shut off immediately. Unplugged the AC to the fridge and the propane started working! No problem all night.

Days 2-9 no problem with AC. Three different campgrounds from above.

Day 10 at a new campground, again No AC. However, all I had to do was switch to propane and it worked well. Did not have to unplug the AC to the refrigerator.

Back home, plugged in and AC worked.

I do not have an EMS (yet), so does this sound like an electrical power issue or a refrigerator issue? Anyone else see this?

I assume that you brought the slides in and put them back out each time the location changed... it could be bad/intermittent wiring for 120VAC to the slide. If you have a VOM (volt/ohm meter), you could check power to the fridge outlet with the slide in various positions - and do this several times. If this isn't the issue, there could be a problem on the fridge control board itself. It doesn't sound like a whole house issue to me if the fridge is the only thing giving you problems.

Thanks, Rob. That is a good possibility. I do have a VMM - I'll take a look at that.

I would put my money on the wiring cross over connector under the slide. It's just inside the frame, above belly covering.

    Edit: This thing probably loose/broken
