Florida resident to purchase GD Reflection from Alabama resident - How to buy?

    Hello GD Folks,

I looked to see if I could find this before starting a new thread...
I hope to buy a GD Reflection 5th wheel from an Alabama private party.
I am having it professionally inspected first and then will travel to purchase.
    Questions:
Am I correct that sales tax is paid in FL when I register the trailer?
What do I do for a license plate when driving it back home to Florida?
Is a license plate even required in the first 30 days?

You will need an Alabama bill of sale, that will get you by for 30 days.

For taxes, when you go register in Florida, you will pay whatever taxes, title, and licensing, costs.

    Hope that helps!

You will need a tag to put the RV on the road legally. Depending on Alabama you may also need proof of insurance.

You probably should call Alabama Dept go Revenue for instructions. They will probably issue a temp tag to tow it home. The when you get home you will need to go to Florida tag agency to transfer the title, get a permanent Florida tag and pay sales tax.
