Pros/cons to NOT including Onan generator in your Momentum

Have any of you Momentum owners optioned your rigs WITHOUT the Onan generator? I'm thinking there's a significant cost and weight savings (especially pin weight) to be realized by not including something that I may never use. Would like to hear your opinions on this...

At the least, get the prep.

Then, down the road if someone wants to add one you will have all the prep done.

It will be a better resale value also.

Being out here in earthquake country, the pro for me is an emergency resource, as well as needing it with all the boondocking we'll be doing when we take the bikes out.

heck resale value alone. How many people want to go buy a TH and not have the ability to boondock?

In fairness, you can easily boondock for several days on batteries.

I like thie idea of doing the prep but leaving the generator purchase for later if we ever think we need it.

I boondock for up to 10 days at a time, and don't use a generator. 200W of solar and tow 6V AGM batts go a long way.

Oh no. We flee to higher elevations in the summer. 9000 feet makes a huge difference.

Like offtohavesu said, the main reason I got mine (even though I don't use it all that much right now) is for emergency instants. I don't worry to much about earthquakes down here in South Louisiana, but what we "Coonass" have to worry about is dem der Swirling massive clouds that form out in de gulf...a Hurricane (Not to be confused with the drink, even though we do drink a few of those while we have Hurricane parties). So, if for some reason we loose power to our house, or that the Hurricane or Tornado (Yes they do brews in the hurricane a lot) destroy our house or even worse, our house is under 6' of water....At least we will have the Toy Hauler to live in while we wait for the power to come back on or rebuild. That is my reason alone for getting it.
