    Furniture leather coming apart

Has anyone had any issues with the leather cracking and the surface separating on the theater seating. We have taken great care of ourselves and the leather is cracking on the center of the seat back in one area and the leather surface is seperating on the seating of the other. The rest of the leather looks great.

It's a chronic problem with the Thomas Payne furniture.

If you search the forum, you'll find MANY posts on this topic. The issue is with the bonded leather - ground up leather glued to fabric.

What year/model is your trailer (creating a signature line will help others who are trying to help you) It could be under warranty and Lippert would be the contact. If you can get a cash settlement I'd be looking elsewhere for non bonded leather furniture.

But peeling has such a big problem I think I have read that Lippert hasn't been as accomodating with replacement recently.

We just replaced 2 peeling recliners with a very gently used/ like new leather electric wall recliner shopping on Craigslist. We saved about 750 $ !

Thank you everyone for all the input. We have a 2018 Solitude 310 GK-R. Will try contacting Lippert but may just let it get to where we replace it with a real leather seat. Faux leather is not durable at all. Our desk chairs at work only last a year at best. Started buying real leather with great long lasting results.

We replaced our bonded with real leather. The "discount" Lippert offered was still higher than we could buy leather and was still the same old low quality bonded. It was a no brainer not to replace it with more junk. We have been extremely happy with the new leather electric reclining loveseat.

The suggestions about NOT replacing with more Thomas Payne junk is good. When looking for replacement also avoid Recpro, similar junk that won't last and go for good stuff. Personally I'm a fan of lazyboy and would recommend a fabric rather than a leather or simulated leather product. Fabric breathes better and more easily cleaned. There are simulated leather products that are good. Ultra leather is one but be advised there are different grades of it. We had very good Ultraleather in our Itasca motorhome.

For residential recliners look for "wall hugging" and ones that the backs come off. That's for getting it in the door. In a previous 2011 Raptor I disassembled the living area sofa/bed/dining contraption and put in 2 petite sized Best brand swivel rocker recliners. Comfortable and durable.

I bought RecPro fabric covered, and thus far, very happy with the couch and recliners.

The sleeper came with an upgraded mattress and according to my grand daughter (who's an adult), is very comfortable.

Maybe time will tell, but so far, I would purchase RecPro again.
