    Imagine 2970rl AC units

Hey all, new to the group. My wife and I just started the process of purchasing a new RV. We went to a dealer to get a handle on the size of the units and build quality. We are now focusing our attention on the 2970rl. One thing I noticed was the utilization of Furrion AC units. Every video suggests that the standard equipment was Coleman Mach. My questions are if these units are comparable (upgrade/downgrade or a wash). Look forward to your responses, I fully intend to upgrade to the 2nd installed 13.5k unit in the bedroom.

GD started using Furrion a/c units because it was all they could get.

I have seen some new ones coming in with Coleman on them again.

At this point, the 2nd a/c would have to be a dealer added item, as GD is not building any Imagines with dual a/c due to shortages.

Thank you, thought that might be the case.

Our 2970 is a 2019 with two units and both are Coleman as it was built before the shortage. I’ve heard the Furion units are nice and quiet and I’d love to know if the second unit is quieter than the Coleman we have. It is the loudest unit I’ve ever been around. Once you get used to the noise it can be helpful at a busy campground to drown out some noise but it sure is a shock the first time you turn it on.

Thank you. I guess with the parts shortages if we want to purchase a trailer we can not be picky on ac units. Good to know about the db levels.

Our 2021 2500RL has the 15,000 Furion unit and it is definitely quieter than the Coleman
