    310GK with 8k Axles

Someone sent me a photo of their 310GK’s yellow sticker with the 8k axles.
Looking back, if you have the 310GK, would you have bought the 8k axles if you didn’t?
    Regret buying them?

I may be a little CCC envious.

Wow, 5264 lbs CCC, that's really impressive. That would surely make loading for full time living fairly easy.

I would definitely have opted for the higher rated axles. We have about 2800 lbs ccc , which we have never been close to. I would just like having the peace of mind the extra capacity provides.

I question whether that sticker came on a 310gk. It shows GVW of the trailer as 18,000 lbs.

I was kinda curious about the same thing. My understanding is the frame is the limiting factor on CCC for the 310. It carries the least at 15k. The others , which all use a larger drop beam , are 16k and up , if I’m remembering correctly.

The person that sent it to me is in the process of selling their 30GK.

I didn’t want to start a debate with him.
I thought if it normally has about 2800 # CCC then 8k should make it about 4800 #. Only other thing I can think of is someone is pulling a fast one OR someone put the wrong yellow sticker on this rig.

Funny if the later is this case. That means a 41’ Solitude has a GVWR of 15k.

You have the VIN, surely someone here knows what how to read it and can tell us just what the sticker is for.

Or call GD with the VIN, even without the VIN surely GD could confirm.

That is indeed a 310GK VIN.

I have never noticed that they jumped the GVWR up to 18,000lbs when ordering the 8000lb axles though.

    Interesting.

Saw a response from Megan @ GD on this question elsewhere:

Hi Megan, in relation to this information, and something I think I read elsewhere but cannot find now, is the following included with the 8000lb axle option on the Solitudes:
    8000lb axles
    4000lb springs
    EOH brakes
    17 1/2 rims
    H rated tires
    18,000lb GVWR sticker

Megan: Yes, you are correct in all of this. The GVWR increases to 18,000 when the 8k axles w/ disc brake option is selected.
