    Anyone weighed their Xplor?

We have a Xplor 221RB and have not weighed it. Curious if anyone has gone to a weigh station for weights?

I used a Sherline to measure the tongue wieght of my 221RB. With full propane tanks, about 10 gallons of fresh water and loaded for camping less clothes and food. 650 pounds.

It was a little light! My Sherline measures up to 2k pounds and I mis-read it. It measured 700 pounds.

One if the reasons for weighing the tongue was I felt the 800-1200 pound Husky TS hitch that the dealer sold me was a little too much. Going over dips and rises in the road was a little like a roller coaster.

I bought some 700-800 pound bars for the hitch and they had no issue leveling out my truck. I'll report back on the ride and function next time I tow.

Can’t see heavy bars being the cause for you feeling like a roller coaster

If you bought it new, there should be a weight sheet in your documents collection from GD, they weigh the trailer before it leaves the factory. Even gives you the side-to-side difference. Problem, of course, is that almost certainly excludes the propane and batteries, but at least it's a start.

My weight sheet has the tongue weight at 546 pounds. So with one battery, full propane tanks and the front storage loaded with 4 chairs, tools, a Barbecue pit the 700lb measured by a sherline seems correct. I towed using 700-800 lb bars with a truck bed loaded with two small kayaks and two bikes along and trailer loaded up. Wind was blowing 20-30 miles an hour. Pulled great with no sway. I won’t go back to the heavier bars. With the heavier bars truck was just pushed up and down too much. Tracked great just not a good ride over bumps.

I contacted Equal-i-zer before buying my hitch, and they were pretty specific that I should have 1200 pound bars with a 7500 GVW trailer. So that's what I went with, and it turned out great. Towing home it was rock solid and very comfortable. The truck rides much better with the trailer attached than without. I won't say I couldn't tell the trailer was there, but it was a lot less noticeable than my last combo, which was a 5500 lb trailer and F150.
