Better yet, put the switch inside with the rest of the lighting. I never use the thing because I can't be bothered to go outside and open the basement just to turn it on and off.

My 369RL has the switch in the same compartment I've never considered it to be troublesome or a bother to turn on and off, to me it's not really that big of a deal

I'm sorry I was mistaken by the way you worded your 1st post saying that you can't be bothered by having to go outside to turn it on and the fact that you were suggesting to relocate the switch

I do use ours and like them if for nothing else so I ( or anybody else walking thru our sight ) don't knock my head on the slide. I think it would be more convenient if the switch was inside with the rest, but at least LABEL the switch where it is. Many people confused about this.
Of course if the switch was on the inside, I would only meet the neighbors on street side when dumping tanks, just "stinky" conversations then. Lol

I must admit that it never really occurs to me to turn these LEDs on. Maybe if we are setting up in the dark . . . but, why else would I go around there ? Now . . . If they came on with the porch (step) light and maybe a couple of other under body blue LEDs . . . that would be useful !

I guess what I am trying to say is that they just aren't important enough to go out and open up the basement twice a day turn them on and off. If the switch was mounted inside, I would probably use them more. I think they are kind of a neat feature but the placement of the switch discourages their use. Just my opinion.

has anyone thought of putting these LED and the porch LED lights on a photosentive switch so that when its dark they come on automatically and when its light they shut off by themselves? Split
