Custom camp kitchen setup for 31mb?

    Hi All-

Just ordered a new 2021 31MB and am super excited. This is the first in a set of likely annoying threads where I ask about upgrades.

One of the few major downers for us was the lack of a camp kitchen. Glad there's at least a small fridge, but I anticipate a good amount of outdoor cooking. I've seen on other models a setup with the pullout cooktop. I'm wondering if anyone has built a custom version for a 31MB or similar model and would be kind enough to share pics or specs for the build.

I've seen a couple online but forgot to get the exact measurements of the compartment with the mini-fridge to try to adapt.

Any help you could provide is greatly appreciated and hope all who read this are healthy and happy this holiday!

    Ted.

Carry the grill/equipment that YOU like instead of someone sitting in an RV design office.

I would carry a free standing unit versus a mounted option. You can put it where you want it, and keep open flames away from your plastic trailer.

I don't have the outdoor kitchen option so I went with a CampChef Explorer 2 burner model. The pro griddle to fit over one burner and the grill box over the other burner. Grill box worked good but I'm really a charcoal guy so I've since bought a PKGO charcoal grill to compliment this setup and leave the grill box at home. I also bought a 12' propane hose which connects to my 2600rb propane port. That allows me to move this setup out from under the awning if I'm cooking something with a lot of smoke.

I am also a fan of setting up a free standing camp kitchen. I have a folding aluminum grill table that hold my 22" Blackstone griddle in the center with a modest work surface on both sides of the griddle. I hook the griddle up to the trailer's propane quick disconnect.

I dunno, I have to say I really like mine and use it all the time. Just got a 22" Blackstone griddle and it sets on the table perfectly as well. Click image for larger version.

To the OP, I would think the easiest solution, as others have stated, is to get some type of grill or griddle that has a stand and also a nice table with folding legs and you'll have basically the same thing as a built in for a lot less $$.

And that's great that you can give up over half of your pass through for your Solitude outdoor kitchen because of all the rear storage.

Other models with out that rear storage can't afford to give that up.

In the 4 years that the kitchen option has been on Solitude, I have ordered 2.

It is a decent set up if you have the space for it.

Lots of dimensions listed in this post from the 31MB Facebook group: https://m.facebook.com/groups/241955...8562720145707/

If you can't see the post, here's a copy/paste of the outdoor kitchen section.

Thanks all! Yes was considering just doing a free standing setup, but I have never been know to do things the easy way. Wife can verify.
