    Wifi thermostat

Has anyone swapped their thermostat out for a wifi or Bluetooth thermostat?

Our thermostat on our 2400 bh is in the bedroom and can’t access it if the slide is in

Yep! I swapped mine for a Bluetooth model and use it every day to turn the heat on in the morning before we get out of bed. Highly recommended!

Just make sure the thermostat is designed for RV use - the control voltage is 12VDC rather than the 24VAC for most residential thermostats.

Could you share which one you used, and any particular interest points with the installation?

    Thanks,

Good point Rob. I used an AirXcel thermostat https://www.airxcel.com/rv/coleman-m...th-thermostats

It looks identical to the factory OEM thermostat but has Bluetooth capability. There are several models and you have to make sure you pick the unit that works with your particular RV. The app used to control the thermostat is pretty cheesy (I'm a retired software developer so I'm picky), but it works fine.

To figure out which model you need, remove your existing thermostat and see which model you currently have. The model number was on the back of my unit. Once you have the model number, go to the link I provided above to see which one you need that adds Bluetooth functionality.

My factory thermostat controlled my furnace, A/C and my heat pump function so the unit I bought is model 9630-3523.

I installed the unit from MicroAir. They make ones that fit the Dometic and Coleman units. They can be controlled from your phone using either Bluetooth or wifi
