    The Westlake G range that were on your Solitude are NOT the tires everyone complains about.
    Tell me more please, I have westlakes on my grand design 395 triple axle and I dont see issues with them so far?

    Update:
    Westlake tires were mfg week 42 of 2017. A little over 3 years old when tire blew. After switching all 5 tires to Goodyear Endurance was going to use Westlake spare as 2nd spare but decided against it after seeing how filmsy it was compared to Goodyear, there is really no comparison to quality of Goodyear over Westlake tires. People at campground have had similar problems with Westlake tires. One camper has new 150 Reflection 5th wheel that came with Goodyear Endurance tires except his spare is a Westlake tire, he is switching it out for a Goodyear Endurance tire.

    U.S.A. made is the way to go; may cost a little more but Quality Control is much better in most USA plants. From working in manufacturing many years I can tell you that you can never depend on consistent quality from Asian countries. We use to have a saying; "save a nickel up front on a part and paid $$$$ on the back side for poor quality parts".

    The 2018 2600RB I'm going to look at after Thanksgiving has newer (2021 and 2023) Power King Towmax's on it. Is that something I need to replace immediately?

    Read post #8 ......

    Suspect the seller just replaced worn tires with something cheap to sell it. Which would make me look a little closer at other details..just to be sure.

    That makes sense. Ratings at tire sellers are high on the Towmax but I trust actual RVer's more. Thanks for the advice. Good Year Endurance are the industry standard from all I'm hearing. Better safe than sorry.

    I would not go that far, I think they are a relatively good tire but I know of at least 2 Endurance blowouts including on my Dad's Pinnacle. This thread is almost 3 years old.

    "Industry Standard" may be stretching it, but they do seem to be the best of a rather limited selection of tires in the small wheel sizes. There are quite a few reports of blowouts and tread separation, so they aren't perfect. And don't forget "Industry Standard" doesn't necessarily mean they're the best available, just that a lot of companies use them. That could be just because they meet a price point.

    @Somewhere in Texas -

    Who or what makes sense? Here are some forum tips:

    1) If you use "Reply With Quote" (to the right of "Reply") as I have here, folks will know to whom you are responding and that person will get a notification.

    2) You can also tag folks using the "@" symbol and their user name (as I have done yours) - they'll also get a notification that way.

    3) You can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:

    Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)

    My 1 1/2 year old Westlake G rated tire had the tread separated and wrapped around the axle and became a whip destroying 7K worth of lines/siding. They are absolute garbage tires.
