    Big Battery lithium

A friend sent me a link to a company I never heard of for LiFePo batteries. https://bigbattery.com/rvhome/ Their batteries look interesting, although all the RV focused items are on backorder...makes you wonder.

A search looking for info on the company turned up this interesting info on the CEO in a Gizmodo article:

"Lundgren was arrested and sent to jail in June 2018 following an intense legal battle with Microsoft over thousands of Windows restore disks he had manufactured for computer refurbishers back in 2012. (Lundgren claims the disks had no value; Microsoft claimed Lundgren violated its copyright to the tune of $700,000. Ultimately, the courts decided Lundgren’s actions qualified him for a $50,000 fine and a 15-month prison sentence.) Determined to stay busy while serving that sentence, before heading to jail Lundgren hired a small team to help him build a new business focused on battery recycling. While there, he wrote letters to his team as well as potential clients and business partners, and used some of his visitation hours to hold business meetings. He likes to say he built the entire company from prison."

Interesting, not sure what to make of it. I like the business model of recycling batteries, but wonder if the company will be there in 5 years. I also admire his resourcefulness while in jail, but not sure I would want to risk my money. Maybe someone else will volunteer their $$ and let us know how the product performs.

These 12 volt 100 Ah batteries are $650 each. I know nothing about this vendor but the price and warranty seem good.

Lion Energy has 100AH lithium for about that price. I've only had mine a year and are doing well. They are widely sold, like in Costco, and the company has been around a while.

I would just invest in the Lion energy UT1300s at Costco, safer bet in so many ways

Have a Solitude 390RK on order with the factory solar package and the generator. I am considering purchasing two 100AH lithium batteries for the unit. I see that there are 200AH lithium batteries available. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to getting a single 200AH lithium battery instead of two 100AH batteries?

I'm no expert but from what I can tell, you save a little $ and there's no need to tie them together. I was looking at the SOK lifepo4 and they also have a 200ah

Some factors to consider are the room you have to mount one big battery as opposed to two smaller ones. Maybe also what happens if a battery malfunctions...you can replace just one and still have the other. Although I have yet to hear of a LiFePO failing in service.
