After having owned my brand new 310 GK for about a year, I had in I service for a wheel bearing service to prepare for a long trip. Service Manager told me that whomever packed the bearings previously way over-packed them and that this had resulted in grease all over my brakes. We’ll, I hadn’t touched the wheels other than checking the lug nut torque the day we brought her home. From that point forward, I’ve been much better at checking the running gear regularly. That includes the axle hanger brackets!
