    Leaking toilet

    Hello everyone,

I need some quick help the white hose going into the back of the toilet is leaking terribly and I keep having to put towels on under it. I tried to tighten it, move the clamp behind it forwards and nothing seems to work. I'll put a picture of what I'm talking about.

Thank you in advance, any help is much appreciated. Click image for larger version.

Is it leaking from the fitting or the banded joint. The white hose you have shown here is notorious for leaking at the banded joint. Unfortunately the clamp used cannot tighten any more, it looks like the house is already squeezed down pretty tight.

Not sure how fat the line goes, but I would suggest replace it.

You can get a coupler and attach it to that holes and pull it through from the other end (you may need to drop a section of the choroplast to do it).

    Good Luck,
    Bill

If you have to change out that section of hose, you might want to put a shut off valve inline.

You can also cut the white hose back a couple of inches use the adapter connector that I have listed below which will adapt to pex and then connect to the toilet connector with pex. The white soft hose is not meant to be attached to a pex connector like on the toilet and they eventually leak. This adapter is made for the slightly larger inner diameter of the white flexible hose.

I have used these on my kitchen tap and have a number of them in my plumbing repair kit just for this kind of emergency.
