    Battery powered jumper cables

I have noticed a couple of photos at dealer lots where they are using a portable jumper/charger to connect to the positive and negative wires for trailers that don’t have their battery installed. My question is can they operate the slides and lights this way? If so, are there any dangers to the TT wiring system?

As long as it is fully charged, it will work as an emergency power supply to retract or extend the slides, landing gear, it anything else. They are 12VDC battery packs, usually sealed lead acid batteries inside.

I have be a lithium ion battery jump box for my truck, and, in a pinch, it will retract the slides and landing gear, but then it's drained.

Thanks! I have a Cat jumper/charger that also has a compressor for my truck and trailer tires. Rated at 1,000 amp. Will that work?

Again, in a pinch. Just make sure it's completely charged before you use it to retract the slides or landing gear.
