    Wonky taillights

Just took delivery of a 2019 Reflection 337. Having trouble with taillights.

    Here's the problem:
With headlights on, taillights work ok. However, with headlights on AND blinker/flasher on, the blinkers/flashers are not visible. Turn off the headlights and operate the blinker/flasher independently, blinkers/flashers work ok. Both taillights have standard 57 bulbs in them, NOT led.

Same problem occurs with two different trucks.

Anyone have thoughts on what is going on?

    Mystery solved.

The 1157 bulbs in the taillight fixtures have two filaments, one for taillight and another for stop light/flasher/turn signal. Removed the taillight assembly from the unit and found that current for the taillight and stop light had been wired to the fixture incorrectly causing the bulb to work exactly backwards. And as a result, the taillights were extra bright and the stop light/turn light was extremely dim/invisible from a normal distance. The bulb socket is designed to prevent installing the bulb backwards and keep the filaments line up properly. With backwards wiring, turns out current for the taillight was going to the stop light filament and current for the stop light was going the taillight filament. Problem existed on BOTH taillights so at least it was consistently backwards across both taillights; a bit of a head scratcher. Don't know if this electrical wizardry was from GD or the dealer. Cutting and re-splicing the wiring correctly solved the problem.
