Sooo... Just in case anyone needed a laugh today I thought I'd post my screwup on this install. When I completed the install I verified at the lugs on the converter/charger that it was in fact outputting 14.4 volts. Decided I'd verify the battery voltage a couple of nights ago. Battery sitting at 12.34. What? Double checked the output at the lugs. Still 14.4/13.6 depending on mode. Took me forever to figure out that I had pushed the negative wire too far into the lug on the converter and had tightened the set screw down nice and snug on the insulation instead of the bare wire. Turns out it works perfectly if the connections are actually made.

Finally broke down and bought the Victron BMV-712 bluetooth battery monitor. Installed it tonight. Super simple install once I finally figured out where to put the monitor itself. Doesn't really matter where it is as long as it's inside since it's bluetooth. I mounted the shunt in the battery box and ran the cable up into the gen box and mounted the monitor on the side of the bed frame facing the kitchen. Sealed everything up with black RTV. The monitor can measure how much current is going in and out of the battery as well as the amp hours used. Takes the guessing out of the true state of charge.

We have been part timing it and dropped ours off last week for the 2nd ac and some warranty work. I still need to install the battery box and the victor monitor. Have a few mods I need to do before it’s full on summer here. Once I get it back from the shop I’ll post all my mods. Thanks for the great ideas!

Added some heavy duty peg board in the outside storage and got the tubs arranged for that area. Also added the Poles and Holders 22' flag pole with ladder mount. Added some extra tall bumpers on the ramp to hold it up off the ground more since we are mostly boondocking. Also added a 3rd bumper in the center of the ramp. Finally de-winterized and starting to move in. The wife got to make the bed. Soooo ready to go camping!

Hi TerryH, I really like the peg board in the front. How did you mount it? Thanks!
